Shamim a vice president of Samajawadi Jana Parishad a political front many people's organization. She is law gradate, done her M.A from lady Shri Ram College Delhi and M. Phil fro TISS. She has filed PIL no 4644/04 regarding tribal rights and illegal excavation in the forest. Compensation to 3 tribal for handcuffing was awarded and action against illegal mining was ordered. All through the PIL she has expressed her fear that she might be arrested one day. Considering the threat the HC has stayed her arrest and provided her with two armed guards but it was vacated once petition was decided in the month of July 2007. The ex Revenue Minster of MP Kamal Patel against whom Shamim fought d recent assembly election from the Harda is the real man behind all this. His son Sandeep Patel is absconding for last 6 months from CBI since he is wanted in a murder case. We were instrumental in raising the issue. Before her arrest on 10/2/09 on 9th industrialist, who all close to ex revenue minister, belonging to 60 saw mill in Harda gave an ultimatum to administration to arrest her in 48 hours.
Recent- She is denied with her lawyer at Harda Jail, not allowed to write letter to CJ of MP high court and human rights commission. At MP HC process such that the bail application will be heared by serial no which wl come after 3 weeks from now. The Madhya Pradesh
Government will oppose the bail application tooth and nail they want to keep Shamim for longer time. pl write to CM condemning his action at ideasforcm.in at this site he invites idea for betterment of the state. This site should be flodded with idea and question . Also write to CJ MP High Court quoting PIL no saying how can raising public cause through PIL can be harassed like this. Hold local demonstration at what ever level. Send email to all your friends.
