Socialist leader Surendra Mohan passes away
New Delhi, Dec 17: Veteran socialist leader and socialist Janata Party president Surendra Mohan died at his residence here this morning due to a cardiac arrest. Mohan, 84, was a former Rajya Sabha MP from Janata Party, serving in the Upper House from 1978 to 1984. A renowned socialist thinker and activist, he was also a former chairman of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC). Mohan is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. The cremation will be held at Nigam Bodh Ghat this afternoon, his family said. Surendra Mohan M.A.; son of Shri Rali Ram; Born on December 4, 1926; m.
